Jessica Biel has done "almost nothing" about her wedding to Justin Timberlake

Jessica Biel claims she has done "almost nothing" about planning her upcoming wedding to Justin Timberlake.

The Total Recall actress revealed she is simply making the most of her relationship status and not rushing the process.

She told the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper: "I'm just enjoying being engaged."

No wedding date appears to be set, despite rumours of a ceremony taking place later this summer.

Jessica Biel continued: "I do feel like there is a lot of time and nothing needs to be rushed. But being engaged is just absolutely amazing. You're in this romantic, ahhhhh, breathless moment that I'm just trying to extend as long as possible."

The star recently revealed she wants to star in a "raunchy girl comedy".

She is known for her action roles but Jessica admitted she is keen to stretch her comedy muscles and is keeping an eye out for something similar to smash hit Bridesmaids.

She said: "Maybe another great comedy, something even like raunchy girl comedy like Bridesmaids. I'd love to check that world out."

However, ambitious Jessica Biel also has plans to move into period drama and cites Cate Blanchett's career as the type she would like to emulate.

Top 3 Reasons Celebrities Should Have Green Weddings

When a high-profile couple like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes get divorced, it's hard not to think about the outlandish resources that went into their wedding. Tom and Katie had their $2 million celebration in a grand castle in Bracciano, Italy, surrounded by their closest celebrity friends who flew from near and far to be a part of the spectacle. But where did all of their conspicuous consumption get them? As the Kardashians have showed us, over-the-top weddings often lead to over-the-top divorces.

This is not to say that expensive weddings consistently result in failed marriages -- the cost of a wedding itself is not the issue. The problem comes when a couple is focused on creating a spectacle instead of using their wedding to express the values behind their marriage.

Here are three reasons why I believe it is more important than ever for celebrities to plan socially and environmentally conscious weddings.

1) Influencing the Industry

American weddings are a $70-billion-a-year industry and even the most thoughtful couples can find themselves on the "wedding conveyor belt". Having a green wedding means thinking about who you are, what your values are, and what kind of wedding you would want if the industry were not constantly telling you what you should want.

Celebrities are particularly vulnerable to social pressure, and their weddings are often planned by their PR teams, with a focus on image and press instead of the celebrity's personal style or preferences. In this environment it is no wonder that Jessica Simpson is thinking about eloping, or that Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan surprised their guests with a backyard wedding masked as a graduation party.

Planning a green wedding means stepping back and thinking about the future of the planet while planning your big day. When a celebrity couple decides to go green they send a message to both their fans and the wedding industry that the health of people and the environment matters, and nothing is worth sacrificing a sustainable future for. Especially with so many glamorous green options available, it has never been easier to have a lavish eco-friendly event.

2) Supporting Green Business

The wedding industry has spent a lot of time and money convincing brides to buy an endless list of cheaply made disposable items for their weddings. These products include sweatshop-made bleached white dresses, disposable aisle runners, chemically treated imported flowers, toxic makeup and skin-care products, mined gem-based jewelry, individual packets of rice, and all manner of disposable flourishes and trinkets. With almost 2.5 million weddings a year in this country alone, the impact on the environment from our weddings is substantial. Celebrities have the power and the resources to change the status quo.

Weddings offer an amazing opportunity to make a difference, and when it comes to celebrities, they have an even larger platform available to them to disseminate the message about sustainable alternatives. In addition to saving energy, conserving resources, and decreasing pollution, imagine what a boost $70 billion-a-year could give to sustainable businesses. If we are going to combat the environmental problems of this century, we need to change the way businesses operate. Celebrities can help create demand for eco-friendly products and services with their choices. By spending their wedding dollars on green alternatives, celebrities can send a signal to companies that it is time to change their ways!

3) Educating Others

One of the most amazing things about a wedding is that it is the only time in your life when pretty much everyone you love is in the same room at the same time. They come from near and far to celebrate you -- both the people you are and the union you and your fiancé are creating. In other words, a wedding provides an opportunity to show your guests how beautiful eco-friendly choices can be in a non-preachy environment.

For celebrities, this power is exponential! In addition to their guests, celebrities command the attention of millions of fans. By infusing their weddings with a sense of respect for the environment, they have the opportunity to inspire their guests and fans alike and transform their wedding into an event that will be remembered forever.

Now, a new wedding location for Saif-Kareena

They are one of Bollywood’s hottest couples. And naturally, ever since Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor announced plans of getting married, everyone’s been asking them the same things: when and where. So far, the drama has had a few amusing twists and turns. Now, Saif just seems to be in the mood to joke when asked the question. The latest name he’s thrown into the fray is Copacabana.

After reports (which came with his confirmation) about a December wedding in the Maldives with about 100 people attending, Saif has added another twist to the tale: “Now, we’ve decided that we will get married in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, on the beaches of Copacabana. And the month is November and not December.”

Suspecting Saif is merely joking, we ask if he is serious, to which he says with a straight face: “Yes, I am serious. Why would I not be? You should print it.”

Well, it looks like the mystery around Saif and Kareena’s impending wedding is unlikely to unravel anytime soon. While,
previously, the two were slated to tie the knot in October, Saif recently stated that the wedding had been pushed to the end of the year. Later, reports claimed that the ceremony would take place in London to avoid the media frenzy that surrounds celebrity weddings in India. Now, those reports also seem baseless.

Going by the probable exotic destinations for their big wedding, we wonder which country Saif will mention next. Watch this space for more updates.

Putting on a brave face: Jennie Garth spotted without wedding ring for first time after announcing split from Peter Facinelli Read more: http://www.d

Last week it was announced that she and husband Peter Facinelli were ending their 11-year marriage.

And today 90210 star Jennie Garth was seen out in public for the first time without her wedding ring on.
The 39-year-old actress appeared to be putting on a brave face and smiled at the cameras as she left a building in Beverly Hills and headed to her car.

Jennie, who was filming her reality show Little Bit Country, when she split from Facinelli also flashed a peace sign as she got into her car.

In a new clip from the upcoming series posted to ETonline last week the actress speaks out about the spit.

She said: 'Being out here on my own with the girls is not going to be easy, but I know it's the
right thing for us right now.

'I feel it in my heart. I'm excited about what's next.'

Last week
just hours after announcing the end of his marriage, a glum Twilight star Peter Facinelli took a motorbike ride in Los Angeles.

After announcing their divorce in a statement last Tuesday, website Scallywag & Vagabond alleged Facinelli was having a 'torrid affair' with an unidentified Canadian woman.
The 38-year-old actor was minus hi
s wedding band and looked stony-faced following his split from wife of 11 years, Beverly Hills 90210 star Jennie Garth.
However last Thursday Facinelli and Garth strongly denied there was a third party involved, and said that the rumours were 'hurtful.'

'There are rumors out the
re which are completely untrue and hurtful to our family,' they said in a statement to People magazine.

'We just want to make
it very clear – there are no third parties involved.'

In their report Scallywag & Vagabond claimed that the actor was having an affair with woman, who was said to be in her late 20s, whom Facinelli met whilst filming Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in Vancouver.
'Peter had been seei
ng another woman for quite some time,' a source told the website.
'They (Jennie and Peter) tried to make it work for the sake of their children and Jennie played housewife for as long as she could but finally had enough.'
The website alleged that the Garth knew about the affair.

'Jennie knew. As a lot of couples do, they simply grew apart,' the insider told the site.

According to the website, the pair allegedly separated last year in summer for a short period of time, in order to try and save their marriage.

They claimed that Jennie lived with her children in the family home while Peter rented a home nearby.

The actor and original Beverly Hills, 90210 icon, 39, confirmed they had split to Us Weekly in a statement.

'While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children,' Facinelli and Garth told the magazine.
'We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time.'
They have between them Luca Bella, 14, Lola Ray, aged nine, and five-year-old Fiona Eve.
It was first marriage for Facinelli and the second for What I Like About You's Garth, who was married to Daniel Clark from 1994 to 1996.
They pair met on the set of An Unfinished Affair in 1996, before marrying in 2001 at Our Lady of Montecito Church in Carmel, California, with two of Garth’s 90210 co-stars Tori Spelling and Tiffani Thiessen as bridesmaids.
Facinelli played Carlisle Cullen in Twilight, based on the book by Stephenie Meyer.
According to an interview. he almost didn’t read for the role.
He recalled his agent saying: '"Do you want to do a vampire movie?” And I was like, “No.” I was totally thinking blood and guts and bats in caves, like some kind of horror movie. They literally talked me into reading the book and I actually enjoyed the book a lot.'
Facinelli reprised his role in the sequels of the film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

He also stars as Dr. Fitch Cooper in the Showtime dark comedy series Nurse Jackie.
Meanwhile Garth has a new reality show, Jennie Garth: Little Bit Country, which chronicles the family’s move to a California farm, ready to debut on CMT.

It will no doubt feature the marriage difficulties.

Facinelli and daughter Luca Bella arrived together for last night’s Hunger Games premiere in L.A, he made no mention of the split.

Wedding couple tell of Isle of Wight castle fire drama

A bride and groom told how they were left with just the clothes on their backs after a fire ripped through their "fairytale" venue on the Isle of Wight.

Robert and Alex Ballard escaped from the blaze, at Ryde Castle Hotel, along with their 50 guests on Saturday.

The couple from Hampshire lost wedding gifts in the blaze, which is thought to have been sparked by fireworks.

The newlyweds and their guests caught a ferry back to Portsmouth as six fire crews tackled the blaze overnight.

The fire caused the 18-bedroom hotel, which overlooks Ryde Esplanade and Harbour, to partially collapse.

Owner Greene King said: "It certainly appears possible that the fireworks were the cause but we will have to wait for a full investigation by the fire service to be completed to get all the facts."

A spokesman for the Isle of Wight Fire Service said the extent of the damage to the roof would make reaching a definitive conclusion problematic.

Mrs Ballard, 21, told how they had "fallen in love" with the venue after seeing it advertised on the internet and went about organising the £6,000 wedding.

She said: "We thought it was perfect, a fairytale venue so we both saved for about a year-and-a-half to pay for it.

'Panic attack'
"The day was fantastic, it was so perfect I cried a little. We had the fireworks from the roof top then everyone went back into the function room for a disco and buffet."
The couple, from Gosport, recalled how a fire alarm was activated while they were on the dance floor.

Mr Ballard, 23, said: "The hotel staff said there was no fire in the building and suspected a guest had set the alarm off for a joke.

"But then it began ringing again five minutes later and the staff said everyone had to get out."

Alex's matron of honour Jo Green said: "I went to get Robert's eight-year-old niece Emily-May out of bed - everyone was panicking.

"No one knew what was going on downstairs but upstairs we could see the smoke."

Mrs Ballard said: "I just picked up my two-year-old daughter Lilly and left the castle. At first it didn't seem to be a big fire but it just got worse and worse. I didn't know if my dad had got out OK at the time.

"Thankfully no one was injured but we've probably lost our wedding certificate, about half of our wedding presents and all of the belongings we had with us, as have our guests."

By midnight, the wedding party was given shelter at nearby St James's Church, which supplied bedding for the children and cups of tea for the adults.

Mrs Ballard was also handed a set of pyjamas to allow her to change out of her £400 wedding dress.

By about 02:30, the guests were on a boat back to the mainland after the Isle of Wight Council paid for taxis and Wightlink paid for the ferry tickets.

Mrs Ballard said: "Everyone was so kind. The church provided us with tea and coffee, blankets as well as milk and nappies for Lilly and pyjamas for me so I could take my wedding dress off.

"We finally all got back to Robert's dad's house in Gosport at about 4am.

It feels like two different days, before the fire it was perfect then it was disastrous. I know they say you want a day to remember but not like that."

The couple, who did not take out wedding insurance, do not blame anyone for the fire.

Mrs Ballard said: "It was just unfortunate. Everyone on the island including the hotel staff have been so helpful."

Mr Ballard, who works as a driver, added: "I feel like our wedding day has been stolen from us."

Utah Crash Victim Planning Wedding Proposal Dies

A Utah man injured in a car crash while returning home with an engagement ring for his girlfriend died Sunday night.

The family of Adam Goodsell, 32, announced his death in a post on a Facebook page that had been used to update his condition. Goodsell died nine days after he suffered severe head injuries after his vehicle rolled near Wellsville, Utah, about 75 miles north of Salt Lake City.

"Adam has returned to his heavenly father and mother. Rest In Peace Adam! You will always be in our hearts. We love you and are grateful to have had you in our lives," the post reads.

Family members have not responded to phone messages by The Associated Press.

The accident happened while Goodsell was returning to his home in Preston, Idaho, after purchasing an engagement ring for his girlfriend. Emergency crews found the ring in a puddle after the vehicle was towed.

Goodsell's father gave the ring to the woman, Goldie Chaney, while Goodsell was hospitalized.

In a 911 call prior to the accident, Goodsell told a dispatcher that the brakes on his Land Rover had failed and the ignition pedal was stuck.

"Yes, I am, uh, coming out of Sardine Canyon; my brakes went out; my gas pedal is stuck ..." Goodsell told the dispatcher.

The dispatcher asked for more information, but the call was cut off.

Emergency crews arrived to find the vehicle rolled into a ditch 50 yards from the edge of the road.

Utah Highway Patrol officials say the Land Rover was traveling at about 80 mph when it drove to the right side of the road, then veered to the left and hit a concrete barrier, then traveled right again and rolled off the highway.

Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Cory Thomas told The Logan Herald Journal after the accident that he found he'd seen a small gift bag inside the wrecked vehicle when he first went searching for insurance information. But by the time he was told there might be a diamond ring inside, a tow truck was already starting to pull the Land Rover from the ditch.

Thomas told emergency workers to keep an eye out for a pink or maroon bag scattered among the debris that spanned four travel lanes. Moments later, firefighters spotted the bag in the waters of the ditch.

The ring was still inside.

Sonam Kapoor: No marriage for me, please!

Sonam Kapoor is one bindaas girl. The actor has no qualms speaking her mind, regardless of who she offends. Last weekend, she attended the Ghanta Awards (which honour the worst of Bollywood) and accepted her award stating that B-towners should have a sense of humour. Yesterday, she surprised her fans again.

During an online chat, Sonam was asked who from Bollywood needed some serious fashion tips. Since Sonam has an amazing fashion sense, it is not surprising that she had a ready reply. It was the reply itself that had us laughing out loud. “A lot of people.. but they all hire stylists now and look the same,” she said. Now that’s candid speak! Sonam’s dad Anil had revealed late last year that she had contemporaries who were jealous about her style, spoke negatively about her wearing designer outfits behind her back and yet imitated her style. This is certainly a fitting reply to that!

Sonam also revealed that unlike other female actors who are busy making wedding plans and designing baby rooms, she has no interest in getting married or in having children. Does that mean she is not dating Punit Malhotra? Another B-town relationship bites the dust. So sad.

Bittoo Boss perfect launch pad for me: Pulkit Samrat Read more at: http://movies.ndtv.com/movie_story.aspx?Section=Movies&ID=ENTEN20120197125&subcat

Actor Pulkit Samrat, who is making his Bollywood debut with Bittoo Boss, a film about the journey of a wedding videographer from Punjab, says it is a perfect launch pad for him.

The 28-year-old actor-model, who rose to fame as Lakshya Virani in Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is hoping to make a successful transition from TV to Bollywood through this film.

"It is wholesome entertainment. I always thought that if I ever make my Bollywood debut it should be with a film which has a good story, which has emotions, romance. Bittoo Boss is all that I ever dreamt of and is the perfect launch pad for me," said Pulkit .

The actor says he had to go through several rounds of audition before finally bagging the role in the movie by debutante Supavitra Babul.

"I had to undergo several rounds of auditions. Initially, I was constantly being rejected as the role required me to look rugged and director thought I had a sophisticated look. But I worked towards the looks and convinced him finally that I can fit quite well into the role," he said.

Pulkit said he had no idea of the story when he signed the film as he was too excited to bag a lead role. v"I signed the film even without reading the script. I had no idea what the story was about. It didn't matter to me me at that time. I was so overwhelmed to get a lead in a film that I couldn't think of anything else. After waiting for so many years, I am very excited to see the dream come true," he said.

Pulkit said that he was a bit concerned with the fact that his character in the film seemed to have slight resemblance with Ranveer Singh's role in 2010 film Band Baaja Baaraat but he says he later realised that his Bittoo is a rural boy and far more charming than Ranveer's character.

"I was concerned that there might be some similarity between my character and that of Ranveer Singh's but I later realised that his character was a city boy while mine is a boy from a small town. My accent in the film is also very rustic and my Bittoo is far more charming, egoistic, erratic," Pulkit said.

The actor belongs to an affluent business family in the capital and he says he does not work for money but to pursue his passion for acting.

"I have never worked for money. My job is to entertain and I take it very seriously. That is the whole reason of my being an actor. I have always wanted to act in films. Even when I was working in Kyuki.....', I kept on hoping that one day I will get a chance to show my talent in films," he said.

Pulkit has an image of a 'chocolate boy' since the time he made his acting debut on the small screen and he says he wants to carry it forward in films as well.

"I want to maintain the chocolate boy image that I have. I want to be a romantic hero but I am also open to experimenting," he added.

The film also stars Amita Pathak, producer Kumar Mangat's daughter and will hit the theaters on April 20.

Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza not going for honeymoon!

After days of celebrations and a grand wedding in Maharashtrian as well as Christian tradition, the newly-wedded Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza were headed to Vizag (not a honeymoon destination for sure) and the reason was cricket.

It was a Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) match which was important for Ritesh Deshmukh, who happens to be the vice captain of Mumbai Heroes. The couple that got married on Friday was in Vizag just two days later, for a match between Mumbai Heroes and Bengal Tigers which was eventually won by Mumbai Heroes. The happy and ecstatic Ritesh also tweeted, “Proud to be part of Mumbai Heroes -- whaattta win today. We enter the Semis now.”

If Ritesh was playing on field, his bride Genelia D’Souza, who is the team’s ambassador along with Kangana Ranaut, was in the stands cheering for her team with mehndi-coloured hands and wedding bangles on her wrists. The organisers also made sure that the match becomes a memorable one for the couple. They organized a special party for Ritesh-Genelia and ensured their stay is comfortable in Vizag.

Till now, there are no updates about the couple’s honeymoon, but there are reports suggesting that soon they will shift to their new abode. Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza together purchased a flat in Juhu in suburban Mumbai. Since Ritesh is also an architect, he will design the love nest.

But what about the honeymoon, guys?

Pre-wedding bash for Riteish and Genelia

There are plenty of couples in the B town who have decided to tie the knot in 2012. Amongst others, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D`Souza will begin the year with a private wedding affair.

There was a pre-wedding bash for the lovely couple Tuesday, hosted by Sajid Nadiadwala and Fardeen Khan at Royalty Bandra.

"Riteish and Genelia are lovely couples. Their seven years of relationship is very strong and I admire it. The celebrations will begin from Jan 29," Nadiadwala told reporters.

Many Bollywood celebs graced the event and blessed the couple. Boman Irani, who shared the screen space with Riteish in many films, said: "Riteish is like a son, friend and partner to me. I wish all the success to both of them."

The couple walked the red carpet a little late. Genelia was seen in a party mood. "Riteish is my Raj Kumar," she declared.

Karan Johar wished them "all the happiness".

Other huge weddings lined up this year include Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, and Vidya Balan is expected to marry beau Siddharth, CEO of UTV.

Kim Kardashian: “The wedding was a bad business decision”

The reality TV star, Kim Kardashian was invited at Kelly Ripa’s show on Monday. The sexy brunette told her host that the wedding was a bad business decision, judging by the losses she has experienced during the post-breakup months. The Kardashian sister uses this excuse to convince critics that she did not try to make money out of her marriage.

Kim Kardashian prides herself with her business abilities, which is why she vehemently sustains that the wedding was not a method of increasing her income. On the contrary, the reality TV star explained Ripa that she would have stayed married for a longer period of time if making money was her only intention. But the wedding was real and so were her feelings towards Kris.

In fact, Kim confessed that she fell hopelessly in love with Kris which is why she committed the mistake of marrying him after such a short period of time. Her illusion was also fuelled by the examples provided by her mother and her sister. Both Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian have tied the knot with their current husbands after a short period of courtship. Despite this, the two couples seem to get along very well, thus inspiring Kim to follow her heart.

The E! star told host Kelly Ripa that she even had the courage to review the scenes of her deteriorating marriage. The most recent season of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” functioned as a therapeutic session for the reality star. This way, she was able to get over her divorce with Kris Humphries and learn her mistakes.

Even though her marriage was a little bit precipitated, Kim doesn’t regret the decision she took. She continues to be just as optimistic as she used to be before the divorce. It may not have worked for her, but there are many couples out there who can still prove that you can fall madly in love at first sight and make the relationship last forever. Kim concluded her interview by saying that she just needs to rewrite her fairytale.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Recap: Brave New Wedding

Well, here we are. It’s been a long and winding road of what Bravo is, perhaps cynically in its promos, calling “the most emotional season ever” of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Which I think is gildin

g the lily, at least. For example, here are some honest adjectives that describe this season of RHOBH: Batshit. Dark. Insane. Never-boring. Borderline-exploitative. ACTUALLY exploitative.
But “emotional”? While not wholly dishonest, that adjective just seemed a bit lifted-from-one-of-Kyle’s-blogs to ring entirely true. Are we calling it “emotional” because a man died? And death brings out emotions, as does a sister’s addiction? The same addiction we’ve been laughing and cringing at all season, after being gifted with a healthy dosage of Kim footage from the producers, who know that it’s okay to, because she ends up being not-dead, unlike, ahem, others? Well, based on last night’s finale, the patina of “emotionality” Bravo slapped onto this season’s identity in the promos informed the season two finale. The final episode of the season was manipulative, cynical, and completely out of line with the rest of season two. And I’m only saying this because I’ve had a chance to wipe my tears since I first watched Lisa react to her daughter in a wedding dress. Yes, I am a human being!
I feel and hurt and empathize with others and cry when people get married or die, even when they are TV people who live on the inside of my magical picture box. But to give loyal viewers of this show — and not just loyal, but committed, as in, there are plenty of unlike-us Housewives fans who abandoned ship Italian-captain-style once they got a whiff of how dark this season would become — a finale mired in sentimentality and distraction was not in keeping with the gritty honesty of the rest of the season. Just compare this week’s show to last week’s.

Remember how we left these ladies? Mauricio’s mother and the mercifully vanishing Dana-Pam had pried Kim out of the Sur bathroom — lip-gloss vibrator, hysterical pregnancy, limo coke-bag trash, and all. Taylor, with her creepy shrink’s help, had asked for — and gotten — flimsy forgiveness from her bevy of co-stars, one of whom her now-late husband had threatened to sue. Cedric the Deceiver had appeared, then vanished.

And Rock Biter Ken, the murky lurker, was haplessly following his beloved’s crack scent around a restaurant, unaware that she was looking to dump him when he least expected. Drama seeds were sown! And then, Bravo built a gigantic, gaudy wedding tent over the whole garden. What a shame. Even voyeurs need closure.

This week’s episode may as well have started with an infrared flashy thing from Men in Black, based on how little of its past it addressed. We started with Pandora’s wedding and ended at an ersatz, saccharine memorial bruncheon. But not before a detour into the fanciful domain of colonoscopies and how funny farting is!

Yikes. It’s almost as though Bravo were canvassing for entirely new viewers with this finale outing. Did they think people would confuse this show with a daffy bride-themed reality show, with a funny butt doctor intro? Or did the producers take a cue from theatrical conventional wisdom and decide to retroactively brand the entire season as a comedy, just by ending it with a wedding?

But back to Paul Nassif’s colonoscopy. Basically, he got one, and we got what felt like 45 minutes of enema and fart jokes. Which, again — I am a human being — I’m usually in favor of ass whimsy. But the extended fart montage seemed not only obligatorily distracting — like a clown nose on a doctor — but completely off-game in terms of what the Malooves’ arc has been until now. They’re the Bickersons, sure, but they’ve also proven this season that they’re grown-ups — the outliers who have intervened during every instance in which Taylor has tried to work her sociopathic voodoo magic on her fellow ladyfriends, to say nothing of Paul’s medicinal interrogation of Kim, pre-face injections. But … oh, wait! Look, guys! Farting! Hahaha! What’s suicide?

After the colonoscopy diversion, we were in for an hour or so of wedding footage so flattering to the Vanderpump estate, it was as though we were watching something they’d paid a videographer to capture for posterity. Which is not to take anything away from Lisa, who gave the performance of a lifetime this season as the loving mother of the bride, nor to Pandora, who looked beautiful. But I guess, given the direction of this distraction-ale, I’m just not in the mood to pick apart the lighting fixtures or comment on whether Lisa’s gown was age appropriate, or Gay-sian Kevin’s lateness or the heat or whether tiaras should ever appear outside of child beauty pageants and Buckingham palace. It is what it is, and it was what it was — a beautiful wedding given to somebody whose family loves her. Let the record show — I am in favor of those!

But once the glitter had settled, and we were into the third act of what was not only the episode least in tune with the rest of the season but also the dullest by far, the producers had to remind themselves of Taylor and Kim’s unresolved story lines, because, no matter how grand a wedding, a show cannot go out on a shot of Giggy in a tuxedo.

So three weeks later, we got a scene at Kyle’s, catered by her heavyset party planner with spicy tuna things. But, as the music tipped us off, this was no White Party. No confrontations between Kim and Brandi would be sloppily executed next to stairs. No grifters would be messily turned away by adults on the lawn while Kyle bawled, without a scintilla of self-awareness, in the background. In fact, Faye Resnick wasn’t even coming.

Instead, all of the original cast members of RHOBH, minus Kim, sat around and talked about how pretty Pandora looked in her wedding photos, and how lucky Taylor is that her daughter is young enough to be able to grow up not fully remembering the time her dad committed suicide. And there were some lighthearted remarks about how big Camille’s new boyfriend’s penis is, and those were fun. Plus some talk around the excellent qualities of Judaism, which I cannot deny. But otherwise, it was a wash. A fade. A watercolor finish to a season boldly rendered in oils. And beyond the ladies complimenting Taylor for “looking good” and filling out, and Kyle acknowledging that her relationship with her sister would always be tough, we got a cookie and a kiss on the forehead good night from a show that, until now, was unsparing in its telling of the darkness inherent to all good fairy tales.

And, I’m afraid that’s it. There were some “cute jokes” in the updates over the screenshots of the ladies. Camille is hot and heavy, Kim went to rehab and isn’t pregnant, Taylor’s coping with the tragedy, Kyle has some stupid book out that you’d have to pay me cash money to read, Adrienne is still flawless, so is Lisa, mostly. Brandi and Dana are fighting on Twitter. Russell is still dead.

But it was all so pat — so rose-colored and glib. Like that chocolate lab Bill Clinton got when the Lewinsky scandal went down. Remember Buddy? The living canine distraction that went on, in an unparalleled feat of pet martyrdom, to be hit by a car? So, too, seems the reunion, based on the clips they teased. And how could the reunion be anything but a fluffy veneer, a cut-rate sideshow, when they didn’t have Kim there to answer to Andy Cohen and invested viewers like us? To update us on her progress? To tell us about Ken in her own words? To reveal exactly what she was addicted to? It’s a shame, it really is.

Think about the show Intervention, which I, last week, posited that this series had become. Can you imagine an instance in which a character on Intervention — whom we had followed not just for an episode, but for an entire season — was not given an update that felt as honest and satisfying as the rest of her arc? Imagine following a cocaine addict or a victim of bulimia — seeing every line of blow she did in a fixed amount of time, every purge and how it impacted her bizarre behavior over the course of what producers deigned, in their infinite wisdom, was enough to cause you to become invested in her fate. Then, think about how you’d feel if, during the last episode out of twenty that you watched in the series, the producers devoted an hour of time to her friend’s daughter’s beautiful wedding? I’d draw out a Taylor-centric example, too, using Inside Edition instead of Intervention, but you’d get bored reading it and you’d get up to find a snack, and I wouldn’t blame you, because I’d be thinking about the Triscuits in my pantry, too, and how good they are — just plain.

I just hope I’m wrong about the reunion. Which, by the way, I will be recapping — so no separation-anxiety-fueled tears yet! Believe me, dear readers, I will miss you, too. Not to pull any condescending Lady Gaga “Little Monsters” shit, but your investment in this series has made this gig so satisfying for me; it’s going to be hard to say good-bye when that time comes. But I assure you that, when I do, it will be a more satisfying and less cynical farewell than last night’s episode.

Until then, friends, please tell me, in the comments below, what you think was worth talking about from last night’s show, and how you see this season from top to bottom in terms of its “emotionality.” And, if you have some time or some extra money, please consider donating it to any of these reputable domestic violence charities.

Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress and Olympic torch compete to win coveted design award

The Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress and the London 2012 Olympic torch are among designs competing to be crowned the best of the year.

The duchess's ivory bridal gown, designed by Alexander McQueen's creative director Sarah Burton, was widely considered to be a roaring success when it was u

nveiled at the royal wedding last April.
The intricately decorated gown, handstitched by dozens of members of the Royal School of Needlework in Hampton Court, was deemed by some to bear a striking resemblance to the one worn by the actress Grace Kelly for her wedding to Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, in Ap

ril 1956.It went on display in the ballroom of Buckingham Palace during the annual summer opening last year.
Its rival is the controversial Olympic torch, created by east London design duo Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. The conical gold torch has compared to a cheese grater or an ice cream cone.
The cutting edge design team said at the time they wanted it to resemble a piece of sporting equipment rather than a trophy
They described it as 'physically light and visually light', but the 80cm perforated gold design divided commentators.

Neverth
eless, it makes it firmly onto the Design Museum's annual awards nominees list.

The east London velodrome built for the 2012 Olympics finds its way onto the list - a good sign that the constructions for the British Olympics could be a lot more successful than that other infamous landmark venue, the Millenium Dome.

Blackpool's comedy carpet - an engraving at the foot of Blackpool Tower featuring jokes and catchphrases of more than 1,000 comedians - also gets a mention.
It was unveiled by comedian Ken Dodd in October last year.

Dubbed the Oscars of the design world, the top award is much coveted among those in the industry.

The long-listed designs are in seven different categories: architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, product and transport.

A high profile judging panel will decide the best entries in each of the seven categories

Images of the items will go on show at an exhibition at the museum, in Shad Thames, south London, from February 8.
A winner named for each category and an overall overall winner for Design of the Year will be announced at a ceremony at the museum on April 24.

Exhibition curator Ria Hawthorn said: 'From the everyday practicality of a carefully crafted dining chair to the thought-provoking solar powered 3D printing machine that points to the future, this year's nominees reflect the diversity of design in all its forms, showcasing designs that will have an impact on our everyday and future lives.

Bryan Ferry, 66, marries Amanda Sheppard, 29, in romantic island ceremony

Bryan Ferry and his PR girlfriend Amanda Sheppard have tied the knot in a romantic island ceremony.

The pair married in a simple private ceremony at the stunning Amanyara luxury beach resort on the Turks and Caicos Islands last week on January 4th.

Amanda, who, at 29, is 36 years Ferry's junior, wore an ethereal Lanvin white dress for the ceremony, while the 66-year-old Roxy Music star looked dapper in a a dark blue suit by Anderson & Sheppard.

This is the second marriage
He also famously dated Jerry Hall for two years before she left him for Mick Jagger.for world-famous crooner Ferry, who was married to Lucy Helmore, with whom he has four children, for 21 years.
Following his divorce from Helmore, Ferry began dating dancer Katie Turner, 35 years his junior.

During an interview last year, Ferry said he was 'fortunate' to have snared himself a younger girlfriend.

He told the Mail On Sunday's Live magazine: 'The interesting thing is - and I don’t want to say the wrong thing in case I get into trouble with my girlfriend - you never really meet people your own age who aren’t married.

'I’m very fortunate that I work in music, where you’re in touch with different age groups, either the audience or people you work with.

'It does help. Obviously I’m not ageist!'
When the Ferry and A
manda first started dating back in 2009, many people doubted whether their relationship would last.
A source said at the time: 'No one expected the fling to last, but it's getting quite serious.

'They are a really lovely couple but there's no talk of marriage just yet. I don't think Bryan's that keen on getting married again.'

However, a few months later Amanda quit her job as a London PR girl after Ferry offered to financially support her, and moved in to the singer's London home.
Amanda was absent from Buckingham Palace last year, however, when Ferry collected his CBE from the Queen.

The singer was instead accompanied by his sons Otis, 29, Isaac, 26, Tara, 21, and 20-year-old Merlin.

He told the Mail after the ceremony: 'I was worried that my sons would think it a bit, well, uncool. But they actually think I am rather supercool!'

Wedding bells for Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez

Third time's a charm: Halle Berry is set to tie the knot again after accepting a marriage proposal from boyfriend Olivier Martinez, according to online buzz.

Us Magazine quotes a source as saying French actor Martinez, 46, popped the question with a stunning emerald-and-diamond engagement ring from designer Gurhan over the Christmas holidays.

Berry, 45, was snapped sporting the very same bling on her ring finger in late December, promoting speculation that her man had opted for a festive proposal.

Radar Online published a snap of the New Year's Eve star with a ring on her wedding finger while dining in Los Angeles.

"Halle has found her true soul mate in Olivier and it's only a matter of time before they tie the knot," a pal told the website.

"She's madly in love and knows she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Olivier has been the rock that Halle has never had in any of her relationships."

Berry first met Martinez while the pair worked on the set of movie Dark Tide, and went public with their romance in late 2010.

A source told Us: "[Halle] had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier. He makes her feel safe. He's a keeper!"

A rep for jewellery designer Gurhan confirms to People that Martinez gave Berry the engagement ring.

The actress - who has a three-year-old daughter, Nahla, with model ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry - has been married twice before. She swapped vows with baseball player David Justice in 1993, and then with singer Eric Benét in 2001.

Martinez previously dated Kylie Minogue, before calling it quits in 2007.

"I will never marry again," Berry told Oprah in 2004. "I mean it with every bone in my body."

She also told The Sun last year: "I wish I had known then that I was not the marrying kind," she said. "It would have saved me a lot of time, heartache and grief over the years."

She added, "I have done it twice and I am not going to do it again. The traditional form of marriage is not for me."

Martinez, you're the man!

Reps for Berry and Martinez have not officially confirmed the engagement.

Genelia D’Souza hopes to focus on her wedding preparations

Ever since Genelia D’Souza’s wedding to boyfriend, actor Riteish Deshmukh has been announced, the actress has been inundated with calls and congratulatory messages. Apparently, while many of her co-stars here were aware of the duo dating, as their affair was an open secret in Bollywood, down South it came as a surprise to everyone.

Many felt that though Genelia feels as much at home down South, as she does here in Bollywood, the actress had never shared that aspect of her life with anyone there. But a source close to the actor says that for her there’s never been any distinction between the two industries. “Genelia has never spoken about her personal life either in South or in Bollywood. But it was less of a surprise here for natural reasons — Riteish has a strong Bollywood connect. In fact, even today, Gen prefers not to talk about her personal life at all,” says a source.

Sources agree that the affair that’s being tagged as the ‘best-kept open-secret’ remained speculative until the marriage date was declared and that the only ones who knew about it for sure, knew it as friends, not co-stars or colleagues. “Riteish has more friends in Bollywood than Genelia. Most of her friends are outside of the industry, so those close to the couple were well-aware, but none of them ever acknowledged the two as a couple publicly. It’s not that they were requested not to speak about them dating, but it’s something that they understood and respected the couple’s need to keep it private,” adds another source.

Explaining her reasons, Genelia says, “Once you start talking about personal matters, there’s simply no stopping them. First it’s buzz of link-ups, the moment you’d admit to that, next people start speculating and talking about a break-up! No matter how much you clarify, speculations anyways won’t end, so why get into that space in the first place? I don’t feel the need to clarify, justify or simply talk about my personal life. Of course, I am ready to be grilled as far as my professional life is concerned.”

For now, the actress has just wrapped up a film down South with actor Rana Daggubati and is gearing for the release of Tere Naal Pyaar Ho Gaya, her film here with Riteish. “But right now, Genelia’s planning to focus only on the wedding and the preparations. She, her family and friends are all super-excited about the wedding and helping her out with the trousseau, et al. It will be a super-busy month for her, but she’s a hassle-free girl, so it’s unlikely for her to be stressing out about anything,” adds the source.

Upcoming celebrity weddings

This time last year Drew Barrymore hadn't even met her beau, art consultant Will Kopelman, but now they're going to be husband and wife!Handsome Will popped the question over the New Year break with a four-carat ring. Let's hope it's third time lucky for Drew; she was married to comedian Tom Green in 1999 and British bar owner Jeremy Thomas briefly in 1994.

Celebrity wedding planner to walk down Okanagan Bridal Expo aisles

Heidi Allen, star of the reality television series Rich Bride Poor Bride, has seen a lot throughout her career as a wedding planner.
She's seen what an $85,000 wedding budget can produce, she's witnessed countless relationships strengthened or broken through the planning process and she's watched her husband make a grand entrance in a helicopter on her own wedding day.
But she's never seen the Okanagan.

That will change this Sunday when Allen shares some of her secrets with a room full of anxious brides-to-be at the first annual Okanagan Bridal Expo. The event will begin at 1 p.m. at Prospera Place.

"I'm very thrilled to come out, especially since this is the first regional bridal expo that they've had. I'm so excited to be a part of that," said Allen.

Bridal expos aren't a regular gig for Allen who admitted she likes to "pick and choose" what she commits to. She prefers one on one conversations with women who are getting ready for their special day.

Perhaps that's why Allen convinced organizers to let her have some time in a booth where she can answer individuals' concerns.

"For me, the wedding industry is second nature. To a lot of these girls, if they don't have a cousin, best friend or co-worker that's been married, they have no idea where to start.

"I love that I'm able to say, 'What are your questions?' I'll point them in the right direction so they can have the most incredible day of their lives."

Allen's speech will focus around planning a wedding and, more specifically, hiring a wedding planner.

"It's becoming more common that people are hiring wedding planners . . . there are different services that wedding planners can do to help people through the process so it is not as costly."
Allen's career in the world of weddings began 17 years ago as a wedding photographer. Since then, she's shared her knowledge while gravitating through various mediums such as magazines, radio and television; however, her passion hasn't escaped her.

"I eat, breathe and sleep the wedding industry . . . wedding planning seemed to always be the one thing that kept me going."

Six years ago, Allen's career took an exciting leap when producers of Rich Bride Poor Bride contacted her, asking if she'd like to audition for the show.

When asked how much of the show is staged for entertainment value, Allen laughed and said, "I'm telling you, those couples really are that crazy."

Her best advice is to not let emotions get in the way of wedding planning and to try to enjoy the process.

"Planning a wedding should be an exciting and thrilling part of your life, not the most stressful."
And after 17 years in the industry, Allen's emotions still get the better of her when she witnesses couples say, "I do."

"I still get choked up, get goosebumps and cry because I feel like I've been given such a privilege to be part of this incredible moment.

"The moment you get immune to it, you need to get out of the industry."

Along with Allen's wisdom, the event will feature over 17,000 square feet of exhibits from the Okanagan's top wedding professionals.

Bollywood Buzz: Wedding bells for Kareena, Saif

Finally the release date of 'Agent Vinod' has been fixed. The long-delayed Saif Ali Khan production venture 'Agent Vinod' has been completed and will release on March 23. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor shot for the last day of Agent Vinod on December 24.

The post-production work is still on and the film is on the editing table. Now that the movie is out of the way, fans can hope that Kareena and Saif will finally tie the knot. The Kareena-Saif wedding is likely to be held in the last week of March or the first week of April. Reportedly Saif Ali Khan is all set for his big fat wedding.

The actor has apparently chosen a 4-5 carat diamond ring for Kareena. He placed the order for the big diamond ring at a Bandra-based jeweller. Kareena Kapoor is also gearing up for the big day. Designer Ritu Kumar, who is an old acquaintance of Sharmila Tagore, is busy assembling the wedding trousseau for Kareena. According to India Today, Kareena requested Madhur Bhandarkar to shift her schedule for 'Heroine' from the end of February to the middle of February. This is to accommodate the promotion and release of'Agent Vinod' into Kareena's clogged schedule, followed by the wedding and honeymoon.

Celebrity wedding secrets

Between them they've got four failed marriages under their belts, but that hasn't stopped Britney, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston from planning their weddings in 2012. After her welcome but unplanned pregnancy saw Jessica Simpson put her wedding plans to former NFL player, Eric Johnson on hold, pals say the singer-turned-mogul has welcomed the extra time to plan a more elaborate wedding, which involves designing her own dress and finding a middle ground with her vegan fiancé over what food to serve at the party. But that's not something that's been an issue for 30-year-old Britney, who has already settled on "comfort food" when it comes to what she and fiancé, Jason Trawick, will be treating their guests to, at their "Southern-style" wedding, slated for summer this year. And finally, pals say Jennifer Aniston has already booked her hair people and photographer, and selected her wedding dress designer, amid rumours she plans to elope - with select friends and family - to avoid a media circus when she ties the knot with Justin Theroux.
Scene brings you the lowdown on three of the biggest weddings of the coming year…

Jennifer & Justin
Forty-two-year-old Jen has decided to elope with a difference, when it comes to her nuptials with boyfriend-of-nine-months, actor, Justin Theroux. The difference being that she intends to take a select group of friends and family with her when she and Charlie's Angels 2 star, Justin, tie the knot.
Having moved to New York to be near her man - of whom friends say she "hasn't felt this way about anyone since Brad" - Jen and Justin have gotten serious fast, with their wedding slated for 2012 after the pair decided they didn't want to wait any longer to have children. And sources have been spilling on Jen's wedding, after it was divulged that she had been forced to scrap a barefoot-on-the-beach ceremony at Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, after news leaked of the arrangement.
"They decided to write their own vows," revealed a source. "Jen has re-written hers numerous times already." Adding of the ceremony, "Jen will want her dad and her mom there. She didn't invite her mom to her wedding to Brad as they had fallen out, but they're getting on really well these days."

A-List guest list
With plenty of celebrity friends between them, the guest list for the wedding party the pair plan to throw in New York after the wedding, is already reading like a who's who of Hollywood.
"Ben Stiller and his actress wife, Christine Taylor, Robert Downey Jr and Chelsea Handler are all on the list," spilled a Big Apple mole. Plus, all of Jen's LA friends such as Sheryl Crow and Adam Sandler." Adding, "No one's sure yet if Courteney Cox will go, even though she'll definitely be invited."
And Jen's turned to Renee Zellweger's favourite designer, Carolina Herrera, to design her dresses, which will feature a classic column-style dress for the ceremony and a shorter shift dress for the evening.
"Chris McMillan, who's been doing her hair for years will be flown in, and celeb snapper and Justin's friend, Terry Richardson will be taking photos," said the insider. "They want candid shots, not posed." Adding, "There'll be plenty of champagne and caviar too. Jen likes expensive things. The bubbles will be Cristal.
